About Us
Mission Statement
The purpose of this association is to help pet owners with limited financial means, to provide their pets with necessary veterinary care. Our support aims to increase the quality of life of a sick or injured animal, or even save its life.
We want to strive towards a future, where veterinary medical decisions are not based on the cost. Especially since the prices in veterinary medicine are expected to rise, this problem for pet owners is growing more serious.
Another important goal is to help clarify pet owners the steps that can be taken to reduce the chance of being in a situation where finances are the deciding factor in the veterinary care of their pet. An important topic here is preventative veterinary care.
Another topic to clarify is the financial commitment of owning a pet, as some pet owners are not aware of what a financial burden it can be. There are also various ways to plan for veterinary costs in advance.
Our small association is currently focusing on helping people with veterinary care in Switzerland. Hopefully in the future we can take on board more.
We want to refine that it is important to us that all donated money is only being used to pay veterinary care for people in financial crisis. To ensure that, we have made the prerequisites very strict. Furthermore, the money will only be sent directly to veterinary practices or clinics.
We hope that with this project we can assist pet owners during a hard time and provide life-saving treatment for pets.

Patricia Mühlstädt – President
During my final year at university, I worked in various veterinary practices and clinics. I was surprised to learn that finances are a major challenge in veterinary medicine.
Often savings had to be made from diagnosis to treatment. Unfortunately, some animals are not treated appropriately or even euthanized due to financial motives.
For this reason, I had the idea of founding an association that could provide support in such cases.
Now, as a fresh veterinarian, I work as a doctoral candidate at the animal hospital in Zurich.
