  • Costs for unapproved medications or treatments (e.g., FIP)
  • Medications or treatments considered as basic costs (e.g., vaccination, deworming, general examination)
  • Alternative therapies or unconventional treatment methods
  • Invoices that have already been paid

Criteria for Applicants

  • Applicants must prove their financial hardship by providing their latest tax return
  • Applicants must reside in Switzerland
  • Only applications for small animals (dogs, cats, pets) will be considered
  • Applicant must not be a breeder

Documents to submit

  • Proof of financial hardship (if married also from spouse)
  • Tax return, last 3 payslips, bank statement for the last 6 months
  • Statement of unemployment benefit, AHV or IV pension
  • Proof of ownership (pet passport, registration with the municipality, Amicus etc.)
  • Signed declaration
  • Proof of residence
  • Assessment from a veterinarian
  • Description of the medical issue or diagnosis, treatment recommendations, prognosis
  • Cost estimate
  • Contact information
  • Practice/clinic stamp

Things to note

  • The funding will be sent directly to the treating practice/clinic, not to individuals.
  • We have the freedom to decide on the amount of contributions and reserve the right to reject applications without providing reasons.
  • We may call the treating veterinarian to discuss the animal's situation or obtain information.
